About

My name is Sanjiban Bairagya. I am a B.Tech student studying Information Technology in National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India. I am an active supporter and preacher of the open source world, and I participate in almost all of the events related to that in my colllege I have been able to attend a few conferences in my college life, namely PyCon India 2012 and PyCon India 2013. I have been fortunate enough to be able to give a very small lightning talk there in 2013. I am also a developer at KDE. Most of the patches I have sent to KDE are on Marble, an open-source virtual globe application under kde-edu project. I have also been selected for Google Summer of Code this year, in which I am working under Dennis Nienhüser and Torsten Rahn in implementing interactive tours in Marble, and that is what I am currently busy with at the moment. I hope you find my blog informative and entertaining. Thank you! 🙂
